Keeping beauty

& wildlife in our town

Who We Are..

The Hulmeville Conservation Committee (HCC) is a group of concerned citizens organized to preserve the natural beauty of Hulmeville, Pa. Our goal is to limit development and save the woods and hills near the property formerly identified as Harriet Black’s Farm and Langhorne Wood Products Co.

The current developer has secured four properties and is proposing to build up to 120 apartments/townhouses and single family homes that will seriously impact the wildlife and infrastructure of Hulmeville, further increasing congestion and risk of flooding and property damage.

The mix of open meadow, forest and wetlands on the properties also provides a home for birds of prey, flying squirrels, foxes, as well as numerous species of plants and fungi native to Bucks County.

The Current Plan

Our Goal

The Hulmeville Conservation Committee is dedicated to protecting and fostering the historic and natural sites that remain in our town. At it’s core the HCC is against disruptive projects that destroy our natural resources and increase runoff and groundwater retention that further increases the risk of flooding in our borough. We are committed to maintaining it’s beauty, integrity and historic quality through community conservation and the application of the HCC’s values.

We believe that the foundations of what makes Hulmeville a strong town is not only our community and togetherness, but also the charming small-town feel that cannot be ignored when entering our historic borough

What we’re doing

We’re rallying the support of all our neighbors and supporters to show up to proposal meetings, creating signs and shirts, collecting signatures on our petition and planning community events to ensure our borough remains beautiful!

Without the historic buildings that remain and the equally important natural lands that surround us, we wouldn't quite be the thriving town that we are.

The HCC is committed to keeping it this way for generations to come
